So. [Montana] was a rather musical story. While writing it, certain scenes went with certain songs. Since mp3s are plentiful these days, you can find the songs yourself.
First off. The inspiration for the whole thing came from a Cowboy Junkies song called "Miles From Our Home." The video, essentially, is a boy pining after his friend, also a boy. A motorcycle is involved.
All right. Let's see. "America" by Simon and Garfunkel is also important, especially when JC and Joey are singing it while they drive through South Dakota. I think it's through South Dakota. Anyway, there is a mention of it in the story.
Also. Right near that scene, when JC starts crying because it's all so beautiful, also try Elton John's "Tiny Dancer." I was going between the two of them. When JC's sobbing, that's the song I was listening to. It really fits the motorcycle atmosphere.
This page sucks. I'll improve it someday, I promise. But. When Joey and JC get off the bike to dance they're actually listening to Eve and Gwen Stefani's "Blow Your Mind." The bunny hop, oddly, fits the beat.
I will add to this page as I remember. Right now, those four songs jump out at me. Peace out. Here's the story: [Montana].
